Story
I recommend the game itself, but I have doubts about the management of the global version mentioned below. If you have an environment where you can run the global version on a PC, I recommend downloading the launcher from the mainland (Taiwan) version's website and playing that instead. Revised 2026/07/05: As of July, it is unclear if Part 2 of Chapter 4's Part 4 will arrive in the global version, while the first half of Chapter 6 will be implemented in the mainland version within July. *You don't need a VPN to use the launcher, but you will need a Google account and a smartphone app like Google Lens to translate the text if you cannot read Traditional Chinese. You'll get used to it eventually. The main story and events feature Japanese voice acting by Japanese voice actors. *Once you link your Google account on PC to create save data, you can also download the Taiwan version of the P5X app on your iPhone/iPad using a Taiwan Apple account and sync your save data. You can easily make in-game purchases by buying gift codes for a Taiwan Apple account with Japanese yen on a site called 'SEAGM'. ==================== The global version has been in flames recently. Although a collaboration event with Persona 3 Reload (held irregularly) started, there were major bugs and rollbacks due to server congestion when the Makoto Yuki gacha was implemented, causing a massive backlash. In addition, despite staff claiming in a Japanese broadcast that 'the original performance is too strong, so there will be no upward adjustments from the mainland version!' regarding the support character 'Aika Nagao/Ange (a popular P5X original character)' implemented in the first wave of the 1st-anniversary campaign, they announced that the superior support character 'Hatsune Miku' would be implemented globally at the same time in the 5th wave of the 1st-anniversary campaign. She only got to shine for a mere two months. *The global version's anniversary is in June 2025, but the mainland version's is in April 2024; it wasn't an anniversary for the mainland version, but a Persona 5 Dancing collaboration period. The performance of this Hatsune Miku is quite strong even without enhancement in an environment where inflation is accelerating faster than in the global version, and the global community is in an uproar because they are bringing this broken character and a superior version of the 1st-anniversary character to the global version, which is running a year behind. Furthermore, during the Japanese broadcast regarding this Hatsune Miku implementation, the performers, including the staff, showed a level of insanity by not mentioning the 1st-anniversary character who had become obsolete at all. 2026/07/05 Update: Just before the Miku implementation, the nerfed performance of Miku was revealed in the official Discord, which seemed to fuel the fire even more. In addition, the content of the 3-week 1st-anniversary event for the Miku collaboration was hollow: just a rhythm game with 4 Vocaloid songs unrelated to Persona and P4 songs from when Miku appeared in P4D, a boss event that gave some rewards, a 12-day login bonus, and a movie that lasted only 1-2 minutes where the main characters talked a little. This caused even more outrage. ==================== I played the global version for about two weeks after launch, but at the time, there was an uproar that 'the management is stingier with distributions than the mainland version!' and since someone happened to recommend the Taiwan version in a Steam review, I decided to start that. I received a 5-star limited character at the start of the game, so I chose Makoto Niijima as my firepower for clearing the main story. The treatment was so good that my player level went up rapidly just by logging in every day, and I got plenty of training materials, so I switched to the Taiwan version and have been playing for a year. In the mainland version, the main story Chapter 5 was completed in one update around April this year, and the content was so moving that it was even better than the main P5 story, so I was very satisfied. If you want to know the story quickly, you can start the Taiwan version and push through, or if you can tolerate the global version's management, please don't retire and do your best until Chapter 5. As for me, I don't really like Hatsune Miku, so I'll ignore the performance and save my stones for the swimsuit character... 2026/07/05 Update: In response to the successive outrages, an emergency broadcast was aired as an apology to the Japanese audience, and as if to put out the fire, they announced that Kotone Shiomi, the female protagonist known as 'Hamuko' from 'Persona 3 Portable', is scheduled to be implemented. According to P5X experts, a worldwide simultaneous event seems to be held on 9/24, so if you are interested, I recommend saving your gacha stones.

Frame rate drops significantly during Musou attacks
Show OriginalAs the title says, the frame rate drops during Musou attacks are brutal.
Is it because there are too many enemies? Or too many effects?
Either way, the processing just can't keep up.
